Devoción cafe in Brooklyn, NY is like an indoor tropical garden with lots of greenery and floor-to-ceiling windows to ensure the plants receive ample natural light. The designers from LOT Office for Architecture used leather-upholstered vintage armchairs and wooden furniture that was finished in a coffee stain by local artisans. 

2. Wildernis Cafe — Amsterdam, Netherlands

Absolutely charming, the Wilderness Cafe is a haven for gardeners, as well as a focal point for the coffee and cake lovers. People can buy plants and gardening accessories or just enjoy a cup of good coffee in a city-jungle atmosphere. In this place, plants do double duty as a beautiful interior accent as well as a product which forms part of what the facility has to offer.

3. The Botanist — Vancouver, Canada

This is restaurant of Crep Nova chain in Barcelona that was designed by Carlos Martinez. “The application of controlled curves helps us transform the space into something more organic, along with the plants installed throughout the entire structure,” Javier Martínez Ochoa says of the brand’s overall design concept. Designer was aiming to create jungle spaces in the centre of the city so that customers could take a break from the fast pace of the city and enjoy natural environment.

5. Vapiano — Paris, France

Vapiano is a restaurant located in Disneyland, Paris that offers a stylish atmosphere surrounded with natural plants. The designer used natural materials such as wood, glass and metal to create a simple yet elegant minimalistic look. 

6. An’garden Cafe — Hanoi, Vietnam

An’garden cafe is a place inspired by the hanging garden of Babylon that was designed by the Vietnamese Architect and Design Studio Le House. The space is very open, airy and green. The building has a large skylight and extended geometric floor-to-ceiling windows that allow tons of natural light into the cafe. Ample daylight and high ceiling makes perfect conditions for growing different kinds of plants (and even trees) in the cafe. 

7. Le Jardin — Marrakesh, Morocco

An engaging combination of retro European styling and Moroccan architectureLe Jardin benefits from a sizeable garden which forms the location for al fresco dining. Terraces and the restaurant building provide further seating. Here, plants are used as a backdrop as well as to provide structure to the space and appealing accents where needed.

An earthy palette throughout results in a space that’s easy on the eye. Plenty of tiles and stone surfaces add an attractive, cooling ambiance that suits the Marrakech climate well. With a slightly hippy vibe, Le Jardin is a space that’s equally appealing for morning coffee or a dinner party.

8. Baczewski Restauracja — Lviv, Ukraine

Baczewski Restaurant (or Baczewski Restauracja) is a greenhouse, located in the city of Lviv, in the Western part of Ukraine. The restaurant has three floors with differently themed halls, a terrace and a veranda.

The interior of the place reminds of a beautiful lavish garden. There is a plenty of natural lights and a lot of greenery that makes the atmosphere very cozy and airy. 

One of the main features of the place is the live music, lunches are accompanied by harps and cellos, and the breakfast are accompanied by the piano sounds.

9. Vækst Restaurant — Copenhagen, Denmark

Vækst (the Danish word meaning "growth") is the restaurant located in the heart of Copenhagen’s Latin Quarter. The place has the green Nordic menu to offer, as well as the great experience for the plant-lover. The decor is centred around a beautiful greenhouse, stretching up through the restaurant’s two floors. The rooms are filled with hanging ferns, ivy, palms, herbs, and grasses, that, together with the many lovely lights create an atmosphere of a Danish summer evening which never ends.

10. House of Small Wonder — Berlin, Germany

The House of Small Wonder Cafe is an urban greenhouse located right next to Friedrichstrasse in Berlin. The owner chose such a cute name “because everyday life is not about the big wonders, it’s about the small wonders that make things just a little more pleasant."

The cafe has a warm atmosphere: lots of natural wood and lots of plants, making it a perfect fit for our list of restaurants that go green.
